Spotlight: Qatar’s Best Beaches

It’s almost time for sun, sand and surf! Here’s a list of some of the best public beaches in Qatar

Al Ghariya Beach:
A common weekend getway for campers, there is also a beach resort just north of Al Ghariya Beach.

Khor Al Adaid Beach:
Only accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicles, you can enjoy the weekend with family and friends and let loose at this beautiful beach. You can also organize day trips and overnight camps to the area.

Ras Abrouq Beach:
One of the things that you will enjoy about this beach is getting there! The drive to Ras Abrouq passes by a wild deer reserve and offers views of a beautiful half-moon bay, bordered by rocky formations

Fuwairit Beach:

The fine sandy beach makes for great picnic, and thanks to eroded hills meeting the water’s edge, you’ll get plenty of great scenery around you.

Katara Beach:

Located in Katara Cultural Village the beach is fully equipped with restaurants, beach chairs and children games. The beach is known for organizing different events and water sports. It does also, includes an entrance fee (QAR100 for adults, and QAR 50 for children).

Al Wakra Beach:

This beach is nestled away from the public eye and for good reason! However, residents of Al Wakrah flock there on the weekends for barbeques, swimming and socializing. It includes facilities like showers, toilets and sports courts, as well as a playground that is still under development.

Simaisma Beach:
Located north of Doha, the Simaisma is a perfect weekend getaway for families. With a beautiful beach and a small cluster of mangroves, it has the making of a perfect day out! Equipped with toilets, showers and sports courts as well.

Sealine Beach:

The most popular beach in Qatar is a stunning stretch of desert that meets the ocean. While usually jam packed on the weekend, a midweek break would be ideal for those visiting Sealine Beach. Jet skis, fly boarding, and dune bashing are just some of the options available for you to enjoy.
